Our garden den
The Podlings had a teacher training day on Friday and we were blessed with good weather to make the most of it. We spent the morning making a den in the back garden and then after Alex's nap we went to a nearby park for a picnic snack and general runabout. I had promised the girls that they could have their bedtime story in the den in the back garden, but the weather had other ideas. Whilst they were out having tea with a friend, I put together a little indoor den for them so they wouldn't be too disappointed at missing their garden storytime. They loved it! At bedtime, we turned off the main light and just had the lamps and the little battery operated tea lights and they had supper and storytime in their cosy little den. It was lovely.
The vagaries of the British weather necessitated an indoor substitute
